Why is Pennex recognized as one of the best Aluminum Extruders in North America? Why was Pennex recognized by our industry association, the Aluminum Extruders Council, as number one in our industry in total customer satisfaction? Why was Pennex a three time finalist in the Governors Impact awards, for community Impact and Job Creation? Why did we receive a MANTEC award for Excellence in Community Service and also for Excellence in Environmental Sustainability? Why were we recognized by Department of Energy for leadership in energy conservation? Why are we a United Way gold standard company? Why are we a recognized leader in wellness and an emerging leader in safety?
It is simple. Others have machines and metal but what makes Pennex unique is us. It is the Pennex family. It is our culture which is driven to compete and to take care of customers but to do so only in a safe manner. It is a culture of integrity and respect. It is a culture that recognizes the sense of community.
We look at our history with great pride. We look at our future with tremendous excitement.
Why is Mark Mantooth the right next President to lead Pennex into the future? Simply, he gets it. He is proven leader who understands that it is people who make the difference. He understands the importance of our customers and the long term relationships. He brings extensive manufacturing and metals experience. He has a team oriented and collaborative leadership style that brings people together and creates a unified approach. I have great confidence in him. You soon will too.

I look forward to meeting the entire Pennex Team. I have been fortunate enough to work around the Pennex locations over the last 1.5 years and have been impressed with the high caliber of people across the organization. As Rick mentioned, Pennex has had a rich and rewarding heritage that I am excited to become a part of. I will still be spending a majority of my time in Leetonia over the next few months but my goal will be to visit each of the facilities and the get to know everyone as soon as possible. Go Team Pennex!
